Q: I wanted to know that if a relative invites me for a dinner party which is for celebrating his son’s birthday, then should I avoid the invitation or could I join the dinner party and avoid the birthday celebration?
A:
There is no basis for the celebrations of Birthdays in Islam. Hence, you should avoid attending this gathering especially when many commands of the Shariah are generally violated at such gatherings.
