Q: I am enquiring if it is permissible to watch an educational documentary at the Imax studio in Gateway which is about a great scholars journey to Makkah?

A:

It is not permissible to watch a Hajj movie or other Islamic movies or videos, irrespective of whether they are watched at home or at a theatre, due to the fact that the contents of many so called Islamic movies is impermissible in the Sharia.
