Would It Be Permissible for the Imām To Recite After Every Surah of the Last 20 Surahs in the Tarawīh Salah?

Question:

Would it be permissible for the Imām to recite لا اله الا الله والله اكبر ولله الحمد after every Surah of the last 20 Surahs in the Tarawīh Salah?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

It was narrated that Takbeer should be said after every Surah after Surah Dhuhah. The reason for this is that there was a brief pause in revelation, during which the polytheists mocked the Prophet . When Surah Dhuha was revealed, the Prophet said الله أكبر. (Tafseer Qurtubi, Vol 22, Pg 352-353). Takbeer can be done by saying الله أكبر or الله اكبر لا إله إلا الله الله اكبر (Tafseer Ibn Katheer, Pg 423)

Reading this Takbeer is not part of the prescribed method of prayer. Therefore, it would be preferable not to do.

Only Allah knows best.
