Question:

I have a question that I used to work in a security company as a patrolman. I worked under a contractor who got contracts from different shops and showrooms. Clients used to pay $$ amount for alarms and attending sites to my contractor.

I was paid hourly and nothing for the alarms or sites separately I received alarms and attended different sites but sometimes due to workload and sometimes due to my personal negligence I did not attend sites and alarms but used to send them the results I regret now. What should I do in this situation?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

You were paid hourly to do the job which you and your contractor mutually agreed. So, if you were showing laziness in the job or sending reports without checking or confirming then you were being unjust towards the job which is a sin.

You need to ask forgiveness from Allah and sincere repentance for the sins committed.

Allah says in Quran: –

Say, “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by sinning], do not despair of the mercy of ALLAH. Indeed, ALLAH forgives all sins. Indeed, it is He who is the Forgiving, the Merciful.i

Only Allah knows best.
