Question:

Can a Muslim eat halal meat if the meat is delivered by a non-Muslim?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

According to Islamic Shariah, a Muslim can eat any halal food as long as it fulfils the Islamic criteria. Allah says in Quran

O, believers! Eat from the good things We have provided for you. And give thanks to Allah if you ˹truly˺ worship Him ˹alone˺. Sura Baqara, verse 172

Do not eat of what is not slaughtered in Allah’s Name. For that would certainly be ˹an act of˺ disobedience. Sura Ana’m, Verse 121

Now, coming to your question, according to Islamic Shariah if the food is halal, it will be still halal if a non-Muslim presents it and if the food is haram it will remain haram even if a Muslim presents it.

Only Allah knows best.
