Question

Someone did Umrah and then went to Jeddah for some reason. Do they have to don Ihram before returning to Makkah? If so, from where?

Answer:

Jeddah is within the Mīqāt boundary. Therefore, if you entered with Ihrām and did Umrah, you do not need to make Ihrām again, unless you are intending to do another Umrah.

Those who are already in Makkah and wish to do multiple Umrah, may travel outside the boundaries of the Harām and make Ihram for Umrah. By doing so, one achieves some form of travel. The best place to do this is al-Tan’īm or the place of Masjid A’isha[1]

In answer to your question, as you are already within the Mīqāt and you are intending to make Umrah again, you can do Ihrām from Jeddah or before entering the Harām from Tan’īm (which is the place of Masjid A’isha).
