Question

Do I need to rub the inner corner of the eye in wudu? What if there is soft mucus there?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

Wudu is the base of purification for prayer. One must take great care in performing wudu correctly. Being mindful of all the sunan and wajib is performed correctly. The washing of the inner eye is not part of the wudu itself. The word which is mentioned in the face in Arabic (wajh) and the meaning taken from that are from one ear lobe to the other ear lobe and from the forehead to the chin. Washing the outer part and not the inner parts. Therefore the inner eye will not be classified as part of wudu (Al Hidaya vol 1 page 22)
