Can we Wear Glengarry Caps?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Question

I am not Scottish and nor is my husband, but we both like the look of Glengarry caps. Is there anything wrong with wearing them? Or will it entail Tashabbuh bil Kuffar?

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Answer:

There is nothing in the cap that would render it impermissible to use, therefore, you may both wear them. It is not a religious symbol and neither does it oppose any ruling of the Islamic attire. As such, it is not considered as imitating the disbelievers.

Only Allah knows best
