Question:

Salam

I’m a healer since 18 years old. Aamil and raki, the last few years we have developed a new method to deal with jinn, sihr, sahir. We use pictures of patients to do hissaab and reading. We require pictures of men and women in scarves through whatsapp , imo, SMS. Thanks to Allah this new method we are using since the last 5 years and solving a lot of issue and problems of patients .We save time, no need to travel and even can read quran on anything object water bakroor attar for the healing to use for 40 days. Some people start to say it’s haram to ask picture of woman in scarf to do the healing. Can you please advise?

Answer:

Bismillah

Allah states in the Qur’aan:

قُلْ لِلْمُؤْمِنِينَ يَغُضُّوا مِنْ أَبْصَارِهِمْ وَيَحْفَظُوا فُرُوجَهُمْ

“Tell the believing men that they should lower their gazes (properly and not look at non Mahram women) and guard their chastity (not do or look at anything that may lead to adultery)[Surah Noor:30]

Ibn Katheer raḥimahullāh (may Allāh have mercy upon him) commentates regarding this verse that lowering the gaze means to turn the eyes away from something which is prohibited to be seen in Shari’ah. Ibn Hibban raḥimahullāh (may Allāh have mercy upon him)further explains that to look at a non Mahram woman with intent to have (sexual) pleasure is totally prohibited, and to look without any such motive is makruh (undesirable).

In the above verse, men are commanded to turn their eyes away from women that are not lawful for them. Hence, it will not permissible to acquire pictures of non Mahram women to deal with healing/sihr.
