Worldly duas in salah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by DarulIftaBirmingham

Answered by Mufti Mohammed Tosir Miah

Question:

Worldly duas in salah

Answer:

Bismillah

It is Sunnah to supplicate with the words that resemble the Holy Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) and not the general talk of the people. If someone was to supplicate that which resembled the talk of the people one’s salah will be nullified. (Raddul Muhtar P.237 V.2)

The Prophet of Allah ṣallallāhu 'alayhi wa sallam (peace and blessings of Allāh be upon him) has said, “Our Prayers cannot be correct with the talk of people included in it.” (Sahih Muslim)
