How to pray in space when the direction of Kabah changes 16 times a day?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Please advise how would a Muslim Astronaut pray in space considering that the space station revolves around the earth 16 times and hence the direction of Kabah also changes.

Answer

(Fatwa: 1612/1257/B=1433)

He should fix the qiblah direction after due deliberation and then start salah. If he moves up to 40-45 degrees then there is no problem. Salah shall be valid in this case. But if he moves more than it and learns it in salah then he should divert accordingly. And if it is not known then he should complete his salah at the same direction. Salah completes within 4-5 minutes. You have mentioned that the space station revolves 16 times but did not mention its speed. It will take hours to pass 45 degrees from the direction of Kabah hence salah shall be valid without any doubt.
