Is it possible to see and talk to jinn? Is it shirk to seek help from those who claim to have jinn?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
As-salamualaykum Sheikh, I pray that you are in the best of imaan and health! My question is there are people who claim to have jinn and can see and talk to them. Is this possible, because no one can see the ghaib (unseen). And out of curiousity, would it be shirk to go to these people and ask for their help, for example for black magic, illnesses etc. Jazakallah khair and keep up the work that you are doing to guide the ummah. May Allah grant you and all the Muslims Jannah. Inshallah. Salam, Haseeb Ahmed

It is possible for men to see the jinn and talk to them. It is proved by the event of Lalaitul jinn in which the Prophet (صلي الله عليه و سلم) went to the jinn and preached Islam among them. Although, the jinn are hidden form the eyes of mankind, but some people like Aamil make them appear through their special prayers and talk to them. There is no wrong to go to such people for treatment of spell and charm provided they their acts must not go against the Shariah i.e. talisman and amulet must not be through words and sentences which cause infidelity or shirk (ascribing partener to Allah), or words which are meaningless and suspeciosu. However, it is shirk (ascribing partener to Allah) believing the aamils and their acts as the real effective. (Since real effect is from Allah)
