Assalamualaikum, I am from India, last week i and my friend went to perform Umrah. We performed the Umrah two times with an interval of 3 hours. 1. After completion of first Umrah i get shaved my head but my friend get trim his hair about 1 inch. 2. After completion of second Umrah we went directly to our hotel and removed the Ahraam(Dress). Please guide whether we did right or in which terms we did wrong and what we had to do, now what should we do. I would be thankful to you.

In the first umrah you shaved your head after tawaf and sa’i it was right and correct. Similarly if your friend had got his hair cut equal to one inch in length from his whole head or one fourth he too did right and the umrah of both of you was alright. However, after completing the second umrah if you without doing halaq i.e. without passing the razor on your head, went to hotel and returned India in the same condition then one dam (slaughtering an animal) is wajib on you. And if you passed the razor on your head after tawaf and sa’i , no dam is wajib on you.
