Is it permissible to greet non-Muslims with phrases like “Good Morning” or “Good Afternoon”?

I am working with non muslims,Europenes and there is normal practice to say good morning ,when we meet in office in morning 1.Is it OK to say good morning?Good afternoon?Good night to these non muslims? 2.Now days it has become prctice in muslim/arab community alos ,is it OK to greet like this to muslims?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1233/1233=M/1430)

It is allowable.

(2) For Muslims to greet one another with assalamu alaikum is sunnah. Adopting the ways of others is against sunnah.
