As salam alaikum, Respected ulama of deoband. My question is regarding umrah. I stay in KSA and i have commit a mistake during umrah i have to give (dum). until now i have not given dum is there any other option insted of dum. And what is the time to give the dum. please explain in detail in the light of quran and hadith.
Answer:
(Fatwa: 301/275=B/1430)
It is wajib upon you to offer dum (animal for slaughter). There is no alternate and neither is it specified in any timeframe, you can offer it when you like, but the animal should be slaughtered in Haram only.
