Does an Imam need to have full beard in order to be eligible to lead prayers and be an Imam of a Masjid?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Our Imam in the Masjid is having no beard (i.e. he is having only 3/4 hairs). My question is whether he can be eligible to lead the prayers and also be eligible to be an imam of the Masjid?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1907/1907/M=1432)

If Imam has only three or four hair of beard genetically and he does not shave his beard besides having other qualities pertaining to imamah then he may lead salah and become the imam of the mosque.
