Is it obligatory to reply non-Muslims with Waaleyikumussalaam when they greet you with Asslaamuleyikum?

Assalaamualeyiukum, I have two questions. 1. If any non-muslim greet me with Asslaamuleyikum, Shall i reply him/her with Waaleyikumussalaam??? What does quraan and our shariaah says about this. 2. If any non-muslim wish to go inside the mosque and see it, Shall i bring him/her in the mosque. What does quraan and our shariaah says about this. Jazaakumullah!

Answer

(Fatwa: 882/882=M/1429)

Reply greeting of a non-Muslim with: وعلیک  or ھداک اللہ.

(2) A non-Muslim can enter mosque provided it is not intending desecration.
