I am Syed Ejaz Hussain from Chennai. I have a question regarding property division. I went through previous answers but was not satisfied, hence I am getting in touch with you. Question: Father had purchased a flat measuring 645 sq.ft and expired without assigning any nominee. As of now property is still in his name and not transferred to any name. We are three members in family left i.e Mother, Me and Sister. Would appreciate to know how this could be divided as per islamic law?
Answer:
After due rights preceding inheritance, all the property of your father shall be divided into 24 shares. Out of which 3 shares shall go to your mother, 7 shares to you sister and 14 shares to you.

Son 14
Total: 24 Shares
