I have a friend of mine who is financially sound&whenever some of my friend including me is in need for money we ask him & he is like bhai if i pay u 10000 rupees for ur business u have to pay me say 12000 in two weeks no matter you profit in that work or you lost but he takes that 12000 is it right for us to pay him that additional amount or for him to take it if we suffer a loss. Please reply.

This additional amount is interest which is haram; therefore it is not right to give it.
