I was rasied all of my life in america but have a muslim family and wanted to know if a person who dose not belive tha allah is thier god becuase they do not know about islam.Never thaught to belive in islam but to belive in another religion.Will god ever forgive them if they did not know.Or is there an way that god will forgive them.

Since, in this age, when the followers of the Prophet (peace be upon him) exist in every country and Islam is known to all; therefore one will not be excused if he or she is not deliberates in it and accepts it, Allah will not forgive him/her. The Quran is very clear about it:
ومن یتبع غیر الاسلام دینا فلن یقبل منہ
Allah (Subhana Wa Ta’ala) knows Best
