What does Islam say about giving intravenous injections, insulin and minor surgeries to fasting patients?

assalamualaikkum mufti sb. i just wat to know whether is it permissible to give intravenous injections,insulin,ivfluids,minorsurgeries to the fasting paients?

Answer

(Fatwa: 1479/1481=M=1430)

It is allowable to give intravenous injection or glucose to a patient who is fasting, it will not invalidate his fast. By minor surgeries, if you mean surgery of acnes etc in hands or legs it will not harm the fast.
