One day i gone to a shop for buying some topis for the masjid as our masjid have no topis, whien i go to the shop the owner of the shop told me that you should not keep topis in masjid better you buy other thing for masjid,, I ask them why you are saying so,, then they gave me some agrument that wearing topi is sunnat and namazis used to came in masjid wear topis and then then leave after their completion of namaz, thats why they are not giving due respect to topis. so no need to keep topis at masjid and they heared this one at delhi markaz. Can you tell me that is it is true that we should not keep topi in masjid? Is it the tauheen of Sunnat?

The advice of the shopkeeper is alright. Each person should keep his own cap with him. The caps people wear while offering salah and then leave in the mosque usually are too much dirty and smelly. Also, it does not come fit on every person’s head. Many after wearing these caps look funny. The scholars of Fiqh have termed offering salah as makrooh in such conditions.
