Commission on Providing Work and Tenders to Contractors and Suppliers of Building Materials

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I works in a consultant construction company in Dubai. Our job is to make design of buildings and then invite tender for building from contractors (thekedar). Also we supervise all the building work on site till the site is completed and project is handed over to client. So I have two questions.
(1) If it is permissible for me to ask for some commission from contractor as I am giving him tender and providing him work?
(2) If it is permissible for me to get some commission from material supplier on site? It is same here as you know in India there are medical representatives (MRS) who generally goes to doctors and ask them to write name of their medicine in return they gift something to doctors. For us suppliers are same. So will it be permissible?

(Fatwa: 169/126/SN=2/1439)

In the above mentioned case, since you are an employee and whatsoever you do it falls under your duty, so according to the Shariah, it is not lawful for you to take commission from the contractors; it is in place of bribe. Being an employee, it is mandatory for you to pass the tender as per Company’s guidelines for the contractor who is eligible for it.

(2) This commission, too, is not lawful for you.
