Is gargling necessary as part of the ghusl ritual?

Is gargling obligatory in ghusl or pouring water into the mouth without gargling is sufficient?

Gargling is not obligatory in ghusl. If one rinses one’s mouth extensively and water reaches up to the throat then it is enough.
