I have recently attended a nikah, girl is divorcee (told by the girl). Now I have informed by girl’s ex-husband family that he has not given any divorce. Some people told me that my nikah is also null and void as I have attended the nikah. I would like to confirm whether I have to do nikah again. Please guide.

Your nikah is still intact and no fresh nikah is required. Those who did so they did wrong. It is severe sin to interfere in Shariah ruling, he should do taubah and istighfar. As far as the matter of the nikah meeting is concerned in which you participated it is not established that it was wrong. The first husband should be asked about it. The sayings of husband and wife shall be final with its due conditions in the matter of talaq.
