Is it permissible to read Quran in “MAJHUL” way if one cannot read it in “MARUF”?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
Please, give answer in the light of Hadith and Quran. Which is good way to read Quran “MARUF” or “MAJHUL”? Or if anyone can read Quran in “MAJHUL” way, it is unlawful or not?

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

(Fatwa: 1220/1118/N=9/1434)

According to the recitation method of Imam Hafs, all the letters of the Quran with zamma and kasra should be recited in maruf way, not majhul way; except the letter of ra in (مجريها). Reciting it in majhul way is not haram but it causes the loss of beauty in recitation of the Quran. Yes, if it was recited majhul in a way that caused changing in meaning then it will be unlawful.
