Is it haram for me to sell/repair cell phones if I know customers use them for haram activities?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta-Deoband.com
I am a cell phone mechanic. I also sell cell phones. When I sell or repair a mobile for a customer, sometimes customer is using the phone for haram activities such as watching porn videos, listening songs etc., sometimes I am sure that they use it for haram. Is this business haram for me? Should I stop this business? I consulted with local mufti, he advised me that nothing is wrong in that. I came to know a general rule that haram things should not be used, also not to be sold or gifted. Please guide me soon.

There is no harm to derive income by selling mobiles or repairing them. But if you are sure that the customers who come to you shall use the mobile for haram and immodest things then it is makrooh to sell the mobile or repair it for such person. The income shall be makrooh; hence it is not good for Muslims to do this work. If you start any other pure and halal work then it is better.
