Eating From The Animal Slaughtered By A Barelwi

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulifta Azaadville

Question:

Can you eat the meat slaughtered by a Barelwi?

Answer:

The beliefs held by the people affiliated to this sect are very diverse. It will, therefore, be difficult to pass a blanket ruling in this regard. Nevertheless, if the beliefs of such a person do not become apparent, it will, in principle, be permissible to eat the meat slaughtered by them.

However, we advise you to exercise caution and refrain from eating any meat from the animals slaughtered by them, since they sometimes slaughter their animals in the names of their Peers or they might be holding the dangerous belief that Rasulullah sallallahu ‘alaihi wa sallam knows the unseen. The Knower of the unseen is a quality of Allah Ta’ala.
