Is there zakat on fruits and plants in one’s garden?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Darulfiqh.com

Question:

I have fruit trees in my back garden which are not for business.  Is there any Zakaat on them?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

One does not have to pay Zakāt or ῾Ushr on fruit bearing trees in one’s garden.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
