Q: I want to know if a lady is allowed to trim eyebrows if they are thick and bushy (looks a bit manly)? They are joined together. Can this bit between the eyes be removed? Can it be trimmed or threaded (method of removing hair) on the top and bottom of the eyebrow evenly to neaten it? My husband finds it unattractive and wants me to continue shaping it but I have stopped recently after hearing that you are under the curse of Allah Ta’ala. It is now very bushy and unpleasant looking. Please let me know to what extent it can be done.
A: To trim or shape the eyebrows according to trends and fashions is not permissible, however if anybody experiences abnormal unsightly growth, then to trim or reduce it to normal standard proportions will be acceptable.
