Q: My husband sent me a BBM message saying that he gives me a talaaq (divorce). The message stated: I talaaq you from the bottom of my heart. I no longer have this message as proof as it was deleted. Is this talaaq accepted?
A: If the husband confirms the sms/BBM message of Talaaq, the Talaaq will take place. Ask him if he did send the message. If he says yes, then Talaaq has taken place and the Iddat began when he issued the Talaaq.
