Q: If a boy and a girl meet in a chatroom on the internet and they get married in that virtual room with other people watching is it accepted?
A. This type of ‘Nikah’ is neither acceptable nor valid in Islam. The conditions of Nikah are not found; hence such a Nikah is totally null and void.
Marriage is a serious and delicate issue and should not be trivialised in this manner.
