Can one use mobile phone in the bathroom, if there stored on his phone quran app or images of duas or Islamic literature?
2. I am searching for all duaas meantioned in surah al imraan, please may you help me and is those duaas to read specifically for a sitation or all the time?
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.
1) If the screen of the mobile phone is switched off, then the mobile phone being in ones pocket while in the bathroom and relieving oneself does not constitute disrespect to the Qur’ān.
However, in general one should refrain from using one’s phone in the toilet, as among the etiquettes of using the toilet is to be quiet and not read or speak. It is also more appropriate to come out of the toilet as soon as one relieves himself, as it is disliked to remain inside the toilet more than the necessary time.[1]
2) Some of the Duas mentioned in Surah Aal Imran are,
رَبَّنا لا تُزِغ قُلوبَنا بَعدَ إِذ هَدَيتَنا وَهَب لَنا مِن لَدُنكَ رَحمَةً ۚ إِنَّكَ أَنتَ الوَهّابُ
”Our Lord! make not our hearts to deviate after Thou hast guided us aright and grant us from Thee mercy;surely Thou art the most liberal Giver”)Al-Imran,8(
رَبَّنا إِنَّنا ءامَنّا فَاغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَقِنا عَذابَ النّارِ
”Our Lord! surely we believe, therefore forgive us our faults and save us from the chastisement of the fire”( Aal-e-Imran, 16)
رَبِّ هَب لى مِن لَدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَميعُ الدُّعاءِ
“My Lord, grant me from Yourself a good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.” (Aal Imran 38)
رَبَّنا ءامَنّا بِما أَنزَلتَ وَاتَّبَعنَا الرَّسولَ فَاكتُبنا مَعَ الشهدين
“Our Lord, we have believed in what You revealed and have followed the messenger, so register us among the witnesses [to truth].” (Aal Imran, 53)
رَبَّنَا اغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَإِسرافَنا في أَمرِنا وَثَبِّت أَقدامَنا وَانصُرنا عَلَى القَومِ الكافرين
“Our Lord, forgive us our sins and the excess [committed] in our affairs and plant firmly our feet and give us victory over the disbelieving people.” (Aal-Imran 147)
رَبَّنا ما خَلَقتَ هٰذا بٰطِلًا سُبحٰنَكَ فَقِنا عَذابَ النّارِ
”Our Lord ! Thou has not created this in vain.Glory be to Thee ! Guard us against the punishment of the fire”(Aal-Imran, 191)
رَبَّنا فَاغفِر لَنا ذُنوبَنا وَكَفِّرعَنّا سَيِّـٔاتِنا وَتَوَفَّنا مَعَ الأَبرارِ
”Our Lord ! Forgive us our sins and remit from us our evil deeds and make us die with the righteous”(Aal Imran 193)
رَبَّنا وَءاتِنا ما وَعَدتَنا عَلىٰ رُسُلِكَ وَلا تُخزِنا يَومَ القِيٰمَةِ ۗ إِنَّكَ لا تُخلِفُ الميعادَ
“Our Lord, and grant us what You promised us through Your messengers and do not disgrace us on the Day of Resurrection. Indeed, You do not fail in [Your] promise.”(Aal-Imran 194)
These Duas may be recited at any time. However, there are many other Duas in The Quran and the entire Quran is a blessing and reward. Therefore, one should not confine himself or herself to any particular portion or Surah.
