Are women allowed to part their hair from the side, rather than middle?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Are women allowed to part their hair from the side, rather than middle? (Only for their Husbands, and in front of females.) Or is it imitating the kuffar? What if you do it with the intention only that you look nice, and not to imitate. Also the hair is always covered, in front of non mahrams

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible for women to part their hair from the side as that is not considered to be a specific custom of disbelievers or immoral people.[1]
