Question on Salaat-us-Safar.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

With reference to Fatwa #27384, if I quit the working place at ‘Asr starting time, but I will come home within 1 hour, should I pray the Qasr ‘Asr prayer (2 rak’ahs) or can I wait to come home and pray 4 full rak’ahs ? What is the better option?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

It is permissible for you to either pray Qasr Salāh before you leave your workplace or alternatively pray the full four rak’aat after returning home. It would be advisable to perform the Salāh before you leave your workplace lest you are delayed in returning home and may have to pray your Salāh in the Makrūh (disliked) time or expired time.
