Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

When chastity and loyalty between the spouses is breached, it evokes anger and emotions. The cheated spouse feels invaded upon and humiliated.

In dealing with your situation, we advise you to rise above your emotions in order to make the most appropriate decisions. We thus commend you for seeking guidance on your issue. You have already questioned your wife about the relationship and she denies it. You may now consider presenting to her the recorded conversation in your possession and see what her response is.

In discussing the issue with her, you may consider the assistance of a responsible member of her family who will observe the discussions objectively with a fair mind and offer appropriate advises. Approach her with the information you have and notice her response. You will then have better insight on the issue and be able to make an informed and appropriate decision.

During these trying times, focus your heart and mind on Allah. Make abundant Zikr and Dua to Allah to guide you to whatever is best for you.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
