Q : When we bought a set of gold it includes the cost of making of the set and wastage, my question is that do we have to pay zakat for wastage as well?

We acknowledge receipt of your e-mail correspondence wherein you queried if Zakaat must be taken on the wastage of gold, our answer follows hereunder:-
Zakaat won’t be taken for the wastage of gold that takes place during the process of making the jewelry.
