Assalamu Alykum Wa Rahmatullahe Barakatahu, My young son, died recently in an drowning incident. Like a true Muslim Allah endowed me with extreme degree of Faith,Sabr and Salaat accepting it a will of Allah Ta’ala. Having been visited by thousands on the occasion and having received hundreds of condolence messages,I want to ack these message with a message to all my well-wishers as a piece of Tabligh in the light of Holy Quran,Hadith and Sunnah. Could you kindly draft such a message as a consolation to all such muslims who must have faced similar situations in the past and many of them in future also.

Answer

Respected Brother-in-Islam

Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuhu

The following words may your the purpose:

I am surely indebted to you for your kind support and valuable words of encouragement that proved a great inducement to fortitude in accepting the Divine decree. The untimely demise of my son has indeed proven an eye-opener to the fleeting nature of this worldly life, so much so tat I see my own life flashing before my eyes.

I am now so convinced of my own mortality as I have ever been before. I feel so helpless, that for all the fatherly love, I can do nothing to benefit my son now except by a kind deed or action on his behalf and wonder who will be there to do the some for me?

The words of Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) have acquired a new importance that, ?the intelligent one is he who guards himself (from the worldly temptations) and prepares by deed for after death.? (Tambeehul Ghaafileen). Allah is better for my son than my son being with me. Allah’s reward is better for me than the presence of my son.

I pray to Allah Ta’ala to grant us all the fortitude to accept His will and the ability to prepare for the after life, that we be reunited with our loves ones in peace and security.

and Allah Ta’ala Knows Best
