Should I remarry my exwife who wants me to leave my perents house? I am an only son.

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

My ex-wife is from Australia and requested our divorce in January, she has returned to remarry me on condition we get our own place away from my perents and my town. I am an only son and wish to stay with my parents.

Answer

She has no right to ?request? you to move away from the town. Yes, she has a right of privacy independent of your parents.

You should provide her with independent living quarters within or near your parents home. In this way, you will be able to fulfil the right of both ? your parents as well as your wife.
