Is it acceptable to say that I am married to so & so in the eyes of Allah but have no witnesses present

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org
Answer

In order for a Nikah to be valid, there must be a proposal by the boy or girl and acceptance by the boy or girl in the past tense. That must be witnessed by two male witnesses or one male witness and two female witnesses. If the above mentioned conditions are not fulfilled, then the Nikah will not be valid.
