Sayyidatuna Aaisha (Radhiallaahu Anha) narrates that I saw Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) whilst he was in his last illness, he had a utensil of water near him and he used to immerse his hand into the utensil and then wipe his face with the water.
Then Nabi (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) used to make this Du’aa, ?Allaahumma a-inniy alaa ghamaraatil mawt wa sakaraatil mawt.? (O Allah, assist me against the difficulties and agonies of death). (Tirmidhi vol.1 pg.192; HM Saeed)
