Can men wear short pants underneath a long kurtah (kurtah is just above ankles)?

Is there a stipulated length for the pants worn in salaat?

Answer:

The stipulated length for a man’s trousers in and out of Salaat is that it
should be above his ankles and below his knees. Wearing a short pants
beneath a long Kurta is definitely not advisable because of the possibility
of his Satar being exposed.
