Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Sister in Islam,

We take note of the contents of your email.

We understand the emotional trauma you experience due to discovering your husband’s immoral conduct. The challenge of life is in rising over and above your emotions and addressing issues. When rational prevails, it is more likely you will succeed in your endeavour to address issues. Addressing issues whilst being governed by emotions compounds the problems.

Sister, indeed trust is a key ingredient to a successful marriage. Both spouses should be over and above any traits which taint faithfulness to marriage. Speaking to the opposite gender unnecessarily is wrong and can potentially lead one to being accused. Talk to your husband with love and concern. Your approach and attitude must be correct in addressing such sensitive issues with him.

Encourage your husband with virtues of maintaining a lifestyle of purdah, and explain to him that the value and quality of your marital bliss demands that he should not interact with Non-Mahrams (marriageable) as this is creating insecurity and mistrust between you. Remind him of taqwa and Allah Consciousness. Tell him such evil acts deprives one of the mercy of Allah and peace and happiness.

Enquire from him if you lacking in anything and what you can do to satisfy him or keep him away from his wrongs. Whatever he tells you, accept it in good spirit and also make an adjustment in your attitude and conduct.

We make dua Allah Ta’āla grant you a blissful marriage. Ameen.

And Allah Ta’āla Knows Best
