It is fard to cover whole body including the face. What if my parents don’t let me cover face?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Assalmau Alikum I read that it is fard to even cover the face. As soon as the verse was revealed, the mothers of the believers cut out their aprons and started to cover. What if my parents don’t let me wear a borkha and not even cover my face then also make me go to a mixed school. Is it permissilble for me to cover, even if it hurts their feelings and it can also lead to a bad relationshiip.Allah also said that if parents are displeased then He is also displeased, right? Can you please advice me for the sake of Allah(SWT).Jazak Allah Khair!

Answer

Respected Brother-in-Islam

Assalaamu Alaykum Wa Rahmatullaahi Wa Barakaatuhu

Rasulullah (Sallallaahu Alayhi Wasallam) said, ‘There is no obedience of any
creation in the disobedience of Allah.’

In view of the aforegoing, you should not follow your parent’s un-Islamic
wishes. However, you should apply wisdom and diplomacy in conducting
yourself in such sensitive matters.
