1. Please guide me here, I have mother 76 yrs old. My father died just 2 months ago she has no one to look after her. We all brothers & sisters are living in North America. She was here & due to weather & her medical problem she can’t stay over here and no family is willing to relocate them self. If any brother leaves her family to look after mother by himself & family of his not willing to go along, what is the guide line will you give this person regarding leaving his family. 1. We suggest the family (brothers and sisters) hold a meeting and consult one
another on the best course of action.
Shari’ah has emphasised on Shura (mutual consultation). Insha Allah, by
doing so, Allah Ta’ala will provide a solution to the difficulty, Aameen.
2. As an alternative, we advise you and your family hire a person to take care
of your mother back home.
