Some sisters say that when we are having our menstruation period, we should not use napkins instead we should use a piece of cloth and wash them after use. Is it something that Islam recommends? Aren’t we allowed to use napkins & throw it away? If so, why? Please benefit us with your knowledge.
Answer:
It is permissible for a female to use throw away napkins and/or sanitary
pads during her monthly periods.
