Fasting during Ramadhaan with irregular periods: What to do?

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Muftionline.co.za

Q: I recently get my menses 2 or 3 times a month, do I regard the others as a period as well if I already had my menses for the month / referring to Ramadhaan. can I fast or not?

A: Between two menses there is a minimum fifteen day period of purity. Any bleeding that happens within these fifteen days is not counted as menses. It is counted as istihaadhah.

And Allah Ta’ala (الله تعالى) knows best.
