Sharīʿ ruling for one born with Aposthia

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Assalam U Alai’ykum,

I would like to know that if a person is suffering from Aposthia (born circumcised), will circumcision be required for him. What will be sharia ruling for this ?

Jazak Allah

Answer

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

Aposthia is a rare congenital condition in humans, in which the prepuce (foreskin of the penis) is missing.[1]

In terms of Sharīʿah, circumcision will not be performed in such a situation.[2]
