Joined Jamaa’ah late – what should I pray in qa’dah

Answered as per Hanafi Fiqh by Askimam.org

Assalamu ‘alaykum wa rahmatullah,

If we join late the prayer in jama’ah, when we sit in the IMAM’s last sitting, should we read the tashahhud+salutations on Prophet [sallallahu ‘alayhi wa sallam]+ du’a or should we read only tashahhud? Then what do we  read in OUR own last sitting? What should be read in both cases?

Why don’t ‘Ulama encourage muslims to participate in legitimate forms of jihad eg Syria, Palestine..? When they keep silent on such issues either laymen consider mujahideen as extremists or they themselves turn into real extremists by reading non-sense on the net.

Jazakumullahu kheyran.

As-salāmu ‘alaykumwa-rahmatullāhiwa-barakātuh.

1.      In the Imam’s last sitting, themasbuq(latecomer) should just recite tashahhud; slowly; not Durood. In one’s final sitting, one should recite both the Tashahhud and Durood.[1]

2.      Kindly re-submit question two later.
