Is it permissible to do acts of Isaale Sawab for a living person?

1.      Is it permissible to do acts of Isaale Sawab for a living person? (For example a person who is suffering from a terminal illness)

2.      If a woman is in a place where other women are reading salah in a congregation led by a woman, is it permissible for her under any circumstance to join the congregation?

Answer:

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

As-salāmu ‘alaykum wa-rahmatullāhi wa-barakātuh.

1.      It is permissible to do acts of good deeds and gift the rewards to another person, dead or alive.[1] [2]

2.      It is prohibitively disliked for women to lead and pray a jamā῾ah (congregation) of their own, and it will also be prohibitively disliked for any other woman to join such a jamā῾ah. [3]
